Can I disable Windows service "Automatic Updates" to speedup my computer?

Execution command: C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs
If you don't need Microsoft update center to tell when Windows updates are available, you can disable "Automatic Updates", freeing up at least 6MB of memory.
