I viewed a DVD and have static how do I repair
I played a DVD and now I have static on speakers/ear buds. I suspect the DVD player is still running. How do I turn it off? Restart does not handle situation.

Method 1: Run the audio troubleshooter. Follow these steps:
a) Press the ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard.
b) Type troubleshooter in the search box and then press enter.
c) Click hardware and sound and run the playing audio troubleshooter.
Method 2: Update the latest sound drivers from the sound card manufacturer’s website. You can install Windows 7 drivers in compatibility mode. Follow these steps:
a) Press the ‘Windows + W’ key on the keyboard.
b) Type compatibility in the search box and then press enter.
c) Click “Run programs made for previous versions of Windows” option from the list appeared in the left side.
d) Select the drivers and install.
