What is the ImageMagick "identify -verbose" command option? How can I use it?

The ImageMagick "identify -verbose" command option returns detailed information about the image file. For example:
1. Go download a picture in .jpg format and save it as test.jpg.
2. Open a command line window.
3. Run "identify -verbose test.jpg" command. It will return something like:
