If you want to just stop a startup program getting executed at system startup time
and keep the startup program configuration, in case you want to enable it later,
you can follow these steps to disable it with msconfig.exe:
1. Run msconfig.exe. You see the "System Configuration" window showing up.
2. Go to the "Startup" tab. You see a list of startup programs showing up.
3. Select the startup program, "WinZip Update Notifier" for example, you want to delete, and uncheck the checkbox.
4. Click the "Apply" button to save the change.
The selected startup program will be disabled.
