"Distributed Link Tracking Client (TrkWks)" is a Windows Server 2008 service that
maintains links between NTFS files within a computer or across computers in a
network.
"Distributed Link Tracking Client" is for tracking links on the local system to files served from remote systems. For example, if you save a file on remote system and put a link to it on the local desktop, and someone moved the file on the remote system, "Distributed Link Tracking Client" will automatically update the link with the new location.
