Difference of Web Pages and Filtered Web Pages
What is the difference between a Web page and a filtered Web page? Word supports 2 Web page formats: "Web Page (*.htm; *.html)" and "Web Page, Filtered (*.htm; *.html)". What is the difference between them?
✍: FYIcenter.com
The difference between the "Web Page (*.htm; *.html)" format and the "Web Page, Filtered (*.htm; *.html)" format is that:
"Web Page (*.htm; *.html)" format uses Microsoft Office specific tags to format the Web page to maintain all formatting features from the original word document.
"Web Page, Filtered (*.htm; *.html)" uses only regular tags to format the Web page. Some formatting features from the original word document are lost (filtered out).
