Here are the steps of how to connect your computer to the Internet through a DSL modem?

Connect your DSL modem to the phone jack on the wall using a regular phone cord.
Connect your DSL modem to the computer using a network cable.
Connect the power supply to your DSL modem.
Power on the DSL modem.
Start your computer.
