You need to activate windows before you can personalize your pc?

Please can someone tell me which serial I need to use for WIndows 8 RC?
Installation worked but now I keep being told I need to activate and I cannot even personalize the settings as it says: "You need to activate windows before you can personalize your pc".
Windows tells me that every serial I try isn't valid.
I installed the 64bit one and then added Windows Media Centre via Add/Remove features.

You can try the following and Windows 8 Release Preview will reattempt to activate automatically when connected to the Internet.

Right click left hand corner of your screen, click Command Prompt (Admin)

At the command prompt, type:
slmgr.vbs -ipk xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx (allows you to replace the current product key with the specified)
xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx - represents your product key
Hit Enter on your keyboard
Exit the command prompt
Restart your computer
Try Activating again
