Samsung A777 phone to Windows 8 via bluetooth

I just bought a dell inspiron 660s running Windows 8, 64 bit, and I want to transfer photos from my Samsung A777 phone to it via Bluetooth. The computer says it has Bluetooth capabilities, but I can't get it to detect my phone, nor can I get my phone to detect the computer. I've tried using the control panel and the help feature, to no avail. If anyone can answer this problem I'd be very happy.
