How to remove pinned items from the Start screen?

Recently downloaded Windows 8 and fin searching some help items hard to find. Sometimes I upload tablets to my start screen but cannot find how to remove them if I find I do not need them. I would appreciate if someone could help.

You can right click on them and select Uninstall from the menu bar which appears..
