maximum Win8 installations
Is there a maximum number of times I can install & activate Win8 on the same computer? I assembled my own computer and installed Win8Pro. After the first installation, I installed Intel Small Business Advantage. I think the Intel app has pretty long tentacles because the Office 2010 installation would hang. Uninstalling SBA did not improve the Office installation. The Windows feature to revert the system back to factory state failed. I had to wipe out the partitions and start again. The second time there was instability between Norton and Windows Media Center. Again unfixable. Wipe partitions and reinstall. The third time I installed a second hard drive and wanted Windows on the new HD. Again reinstall. So the computer is just the way I want things now. Will there come a time after a few more installs where Windows will fail to activate because I installed and activated it too many times?

You can reinstall and reactivate on the same computer as many times as you like, you might need to reactivate by telephone though:
Phone activation:
1. Press Windows key + X then click Run, then type: slui.exe 4
2. Next press the 'ENTER' key
3. Select your 'Country' from the list.
4. Choose the 'Phone Activation' option.
5. Stay on the phone (do not select/press any options) and wait for a person to help you with activation.
6. Explain your problem clearly to the support person.
