Multimedia Video Controller Problem
he Multimedia Video Controller under Other Devices has an problem of no drivers. The device is a ATI Radeon X700. I just upgraded from Windows XP 32-bit to Windows 8 32-bit. Everything is now working with the exception of the 20-inch screen is not being fully utilized. There is a 2 inch black stripe down the left and right side making the screen look square versus rectangle like a flat screen. Since it is listed under Other Devices, I am not able to select the Manufacturer and the Model. When I download the driver for Windows 7 32-bit, (doesn't have an 8), it stated compatible and successful installation. When I right click on Video Controller in Device Manager and drill down to the folder, it states there are no drivers in that folder.

It appears to be compatible with Windows 8.1
Did you install the driver using compatibility mode?
Have you checked screen resolution? It may need to be adjusted.
Right click on desktop
Select Screen Resolution
If it is scaled to 1024 x 768, move the lever to the next highest resolution
Click Apply to determine if this helps
You can click revert when an adjustment does not work
